Piushaven is an excellent base: walking distance from the city center and yet amidst the greenery. Also found on the head of the harbor a tourist branch, where you will find all kinds of tourist information about Tilburg and its surroundings. Footpaths, cycle routes, but also information about the beautiful Tilburg museums can be found here. Moreover, Tilburg is a real event city. From the Piushaven are often accessible even on foot.
Passers Season 2011
Piushaven is open for recreational 23 April to Sunday, September 18th, 2011. The platform is operated daily:
• Monday / Saturday from 09.00 t / m 18.00 on the hour;
• Sundays and public holidays in May, June and September at 09:00, 13:00 and 17:00;
• Sundays and holidays in July and August at 09:00, 11:00, 13:00, 15:00 and 17:00.
On Sundays and holidays the bridge is operated only after having obtained by calling the host (013-542 94 40).
Demurrage is € 1, – per meter of vessel length per night. Holders of FONV pass (A and B) have for the first two nights to pay demurrage.
Temporarily living in the Piushaven
This is possible for ships inhabited. Outside the opening hours of the passers-port, it is possible to apply for a license for a so-called winter storage. You can then from late September to late April to get a mooring permit for passers area. There are twelve connections for permanent power supply. You are charged a fee for the license. The money is collected weekly and current is judged on the basis of the meter readings.
